So I’ve put together some tips to help you connect with your customers on Instagram that can be actioned today!
When you’re extremely busy, replying to comments can seem like a daunting task. By simply liking your customer’s comment, you’re letting them know you appreciate them and their comment. You can then reply when you have more time!
Tag your Customers
When mentioning customers in your captions, comments or stories, be sure to tag the customer(s) you’re talking about. For instance, if a customer gave you an idea for a new drinks recipe, tag them! This way they’ll receive a notification and can continue the conversation, whilst you build up the relationship.
Don’t over complicate it
It can be tricky, but remember that your customers might not be an expert in your industry. Keep responses simple and clear. If your customers don’t understand you it’s likely the conversation will end there. Avoid industry specific terminology and keep a friendly, approachable tone.
Private belongs in your DMs
Customers can comment on posts with questions about their order or customer support issues. Respond to these messages with a simple message such as ‘Thanks for the question – please check you DM’s for our response’. Then answer their question and continue the conversation in direct messages.
Utilise Quick Replies
