Instagram has recently released to the UK it’s Gift Card & Food Order stickers, making it easier for small businesses to generate sales via Instagram stories. Customers will be able to tap on these stickers and be taken directly to a partner site to purchase. It’s a brilliant way to communicate to your customers how they can buy your products.
These stickers are very easy to use and I’m going to show you how.
What you’ll need:
There’s a few things you’ll need to make sure you have before you can share the Gift Card or Food Order stickers.
- An Instagram Business account
- Gift cards set up with Gift up
!, LoyLap or Sumup - Edible items for delivery set up with Deliver or Uber Eats
- Great portrait imagery of the items you are selling (This one will help turn views into clicks and clicks into sales)
How to add
First, head to your Instagram Stories and choose an image to have as a background. This should be an image of the product you are selling.

You’ll then need to choose your Gift Card or Food Delivery partner and enter your unique URL.
Now you’re ready to publish! Customers can click on the sticker and be sent directly to your Gift Card or Food Order shop, making it super easy for them to purchase your products! The image below is a great example of how to use the sticker to get the maximum results (Note how simple and clear it is).

You can also add these buttons to your profile. To do this, head to edit profile and tap action buttons. Then select the type of action button you’d like to appear on your profile. You’ll need to add your URL again, but once that’s done it will sit on your profile permanently, helping you generate sales every time someone visits your profile.
